Marin County bathroom remodel
Bathroom Remodeling

A sanctuary, not a chore.
Built to last.

Your bathroom should be the room that resets you — first thing in the morning, last thing at night. We design and build bathrooms that earn that role: spa-grade comfort, durable finishes, and the kind of waterproofing detail that means it still looks new in year fifteen.

Where bathroom remodels go wrong.

Bathrooms fail more often than any other room in the house — and almost always for the same reason. Bad waterproofing under tile, the wrong flooring transition, fixtures rated for commercial bathrooms installed in residential ones, or a vent fan undersized for the space. None of these are visible the day you move in. All of them show up by year three.

Two generations of building bathrooms in Marin homes has taught us where the failure points are and how to design around them. We use industry-best waterproofing systems (Schluter, Wedi), match fixtures to the actual water and humidity profile of the home, and detail the boring stuff — flashing, transitions, drainage slope — like it's the part that matters most. Because it is.

Our bathroom remodel scope.

Layout & space planning

Walls down, walls up, fixture placement matched to your daily flow.

Custom tile work

Floor, walls, shower, niches, accent walls — hand-laid by our own team.

Walk-in showers

Frameless glass, linear drains, body sprays, steam options. Built waterproof first.

Soaking tubs

Freestanding, drop-in, alcove. Properly framed and supported, never an afterthought.

Vanities & cabinetry

Custom-built or premium pre-built with the right counter — quartz, marble, soapstone.

Heated floors

Electric or hydronic radiant. Sized correctly so it actually works in the cold morning.

Fixtures & finishes

Kohler, Toto, Hansgrohe, Brizo. Specified to handle the home's water profile.

Lighting & ventilation

Layered lighting plus a vent fan sized for the actual room volume — not just code minimum.

Plumbing & electrical

In-house. We don't hand off the trades that determine whether the room lasts.

Bathroom remodel FAQ.

How long does a bathroom remodel take? +
A cosmetic refresh: 3-5 weeks. A full gut-and-rebuild with custom tile and structural changes: 8-12 weeks once construction starts. Tile work and stone in particular drive the timeline — we'll give you a real schedule based on the actual scope.
What does a bathroom remodel cost in Marin? +
Mid-range full bath remodels in Marin run $40K-$80K. Primary suite remodels with high-end finishes, heated floors, walk-in showers, and structural changes: $80K-$200K+. We provide line-item bids so you can see exactly what's driving the number.
Can you keep the bathroom usable during the project? +
If it's the only bathroom in the home, we work hard to phase the project so it's not down for the full duration. For homes with multiple bathrooms, the project bath is typically out of service for 3-8 weeks.
Do you handle waterproofing properly? +
Yes. Bathroom failures almost always trace back to bad waterproofing — wrong product, wrong sequence, or skipped steps. We use Schluter and similar industry-best systems and follow manufacturer specs to the letter. Failures we've seen on other contractors' work are why we won't shortcut this.
Do you do permits? +
Yes. Bathroom remodels with plumbing, electrical, or structural work require permits. We pull all required permits and handle inspections with Marin County and the city building departments.
